One Product - Three Variations

jPickem is one product but we can deliver it three different ways...

1. Joomla Webmasters -  This is a 1.0.15 compatible component and a set of modules to display things like standings, schedule, underdogs, favorites...   It hasn't been tested in every possible template so we caution you that some CSS tweaking might be necessary.    The Component comes pre-loaded with current season NFL data (teams, games and pick periods).    

 

2. OTHER Webmasters - If you're ok with the role of webmaster but don't have much experience with Joomla, that's plenty fine.   We offer a version that includes us helping with installation and a bit of hand-holding during the first hour of use.   As long as you're comfortable with any CMS like Wordpress, Drupal, Plone... you'll feel right at home here.

 

3.  Everyone Else -  If you haven't a clue about what a webmaster is, that's fine too.   As long as you're willing to enter your own game scores, we'll install and configure everything for you.   Ideally you should have one person in charge of this as our support will be limited to one person.  (We don't want your entire group to have our phone number :)

This version of jPickem requires you purchase a hosting account with HostGator, our hosting vendor of choice.   The product you would need to purchase is called "The Hatchling" which you can further investigate here.

 

Hardware Requirements  (Joomla webmasters, you can ignore this part)

jPickem runs on any web server that supports Joomla.     If you don't know anything about Joomla, you can rent space for about $3/month.    We do not offer hosting but we absolutely will recommend you to places we trust.    If you are selecting 2 or 3, you must run jPickem on a host we recommend.   We do this because we're sure things run there, which eliminates a support variable.  

IF you already have a domain name and you want to run jPickem within (eg.,  MyDomain.com/pickem) then contact your hosting company and ask if your server can run Joomla.   If it can, we'll still help you but the cost for our services will likely be higher.
