Adding Paypal buttons

Adding Paypal buttons

If you plan to take money from your members for a pool admin fee, it's simple to do, so simple in fact that we didn't include it as a feature within jPickem.

Using Paypal as an example, create an encrypted "Pay Now" button and paste it onto the login bulletin page.  (This is the page you throw registered users into after logging in)   We recommend a login bulletin page rather than pushing them directly into the jPickem control panel.  This gives you the chance to remind them of what's new, like "don't forget to pay" messages.

Remember to turn off the TinyMCE editor as any formatting of the Paypal code can mess up the page which in turn will send an invalid request to Paypal.

On the legality of this -- that's up to you based on what you're collecting for, where you live and a few other variables.   Bottom line, we're not qualified to give legal advice, so we steer clear of that on a regular basis.

If you wanted to get fancy beyond this (if you're running a larger group) we recommend jUser and JCS to manage your users via a subscription model.   If you want more info on that, drop us a note.
