In jPickem you have two things that must be completed for each week of game.

1. You must pick the teams you believe will win
and then
2. assign confidence points to each

That means in a 16 game week, you will need to click 16 radio buttons and then select and enter 16 numbers ranging from 1 to 16. How long this takes is more determined by the thought that goes into each. However, if you are short on time or just don't care, then click the Pick Wizard button, then go back and make your final adjustments.

A confidence point is how we score your picking. In a 16 game week the most you can put on any game is 16. That would mean your highest confidence would be expressed by the value 16. The game you are least confident about ... you would enter the number 1.

Here's an example of what your most confident pick would look like if you felt the Jets would defeat the Patriots:

When the scoring engine runs, you earn points based on correct picks. In other words, we sum the points for the correct picks and ignore those you missed. In a 16 game week, that means the most you could win would be 136. In a 15 game week... 120.

There is no way to turn off this feature as it's the basis for generating the standings.
